About

The Tybee Island Marine Science Center introduces visitors to the animals and habitats of coastal Georgia, with live-animal exhibits, interactive displays and beach and marsh programs.

It's at the end of the North Beach parking lot, on the beach side of Fort Screven and close to the Tybee Island Light Station, so it pairs well with a lighthouse visit.

Tips

  • About 15 miles from downtown Savannah in a straight line, so plan it as a drive.
  • Hours and admission change: check the official website before you go.
