About
The little Cockspur Island Light stands on an islet off Cockspur Island, near Lazaretto Creek and northwest of Tybee Island. It stopped working as a navigational beacon in 1909 and has been relit since 2007 for its history.
It's part of Fort Pulaski National Monument, so it's easy to add to a visit to the fort on the way to Tybee.
Tips
- About 13 miles from downtown Savannah in a straight line, so plan it as a drive.
